Aims from 2006

In 2006 the Chinese Cricket Association set itself some very ambitious aims which are:

2009: Have 720 teams across the country in a well-organised structure
2015: Have 20,000 players and 2,000 coaches2009: Have 720 teams across the country in a well-organised structure
2019: Qualify for the World Cup
2020: Gain Test Status

As you can see the Chinese Cricket Association was very keen to develop but sadly were quite unsuccessful. As we know they definitely didn’t qualify for the wold cup and the chance of them gaining test status by 2020 is almost zero considering they sit joint last in the T20 Rankings.
